Business Card & Basic sites with static pages

Business card sites are simple 1 page sites which provide basic details about a business. They provide a quick way of getting an online presence with contact details and can even be used while your main site is being built.

Basic static sites are simple traditional web sites. These are usually maintained by the web designer.

Content Management Sites

Peakweb uses Joomla as its main “content management site” technology as it is open source, regularly updated and very reliable. With many millions of sites worldwide the technology is well proven. The basic site is built and customised by the web designer but future content updates can be made by the site owner or designated people using skills similar to that of a word processor.

An alternative to using Joomla is to use WordPress. Originally designed for designing weblogs (blogs) where content is added to easily, simply and very often, WordPress can now be used for modern looking web sites that are easy to update by the owner. It is not as powerful as Joomla, but is still a good medium.
